Academy Award-nominated actress Elisabeth Shue is known for movies such as Piranha 3D, Battle of the Sexes, Cocktail, Adventures in Babysitting, and most notably, the movie that made her nominated for the aforementioned award, 1995’s Leaving Las Vegas. On television, she is also known for her character as Julie Finlay in C.B.S.’ forensics crime drama, C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation, as well as portraying Madelyn Stillwell in the Amazon series The Boys.
Alongside brother Andrew Eppley Shue, she was born in Wilmington, Delaware, to father James William Shue, who was the head of the International Food and Beverage Corporation. Not to mention, he was also a former congressional candidate, lawyer, and real estate, developer. On the other hand, her mother, Anne Brewster, was a vice president in the Chemical Banking Corporation’s private banking section. Elizabeth made her feature film début in 1984, co-starring alongside Ralph Macchio in The Karate Kid. She played the role of Ali Mills, Macchio’s character love interest. In 2018, Netflix aired Cobra Kai, the spinoff series of the original films. For its third season this 2021, she reprised her original role.
