Ozzy Osbourne | 73 years old
In the 1970s, Ozzy Osbourne was the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath. Around this time, he adopted the nickname “Prince of Darkness.” Several years into the band’s successful progress, Osbourne was removed due to several personal issues in 1979. However, the lead vocalist went on to start a prosperous solo career and released 12 albums. The first seven albums were given multi-platinum certifications in the United States. Down the road, he eventually reunited with the band on several occasions. In 1997, Osbourne rejoined the band and helped record the band’s final studio album in 2013.
After completing the album, the band went on with their farewell tour that ended in February 2017, with the last performance in their hometown in Birmingham. Osbourne’s success and career longevity earned him the unofficial title of “Godfather of Metal.” His career continued to the 2000s with MTV’s reality show The Osbournes, together with his family. Up to recent times, the singer has been actively making concert tours—credits to his popularity among the followers of his music.
