Kelly Lebrock launched her career as a model and rose to prominence in the 1980s. Her first modeling job was for a British Airways advertisement, and eventually, she has appeared on the covers of several well-known fashion publications such as Vogue. Her breakthrough came when she started working as a spokesperson for one of Pantene’s most popular commercials. “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful” became a catchphrase that people still use today, whether or not they know who she is.

Perhaps this TV appearance was instrumental in landing LeBrock her most notable role to date, which was in Weird Science, although it wasn’t her first film role. She also played the title character in the 1984 romantic comedy The Woman In Red. LeBrock went on to increase her film credits with portrayals in Betrayal of the Dove, Hard Bounty, and Wrongfully Accused. She had a successful career before voluntarily stepping away from the spotlight to protect her children from the adverse effects of celebrity. She did, however, make a comeback in 2013, proving that she is not ready to step out from the Hollywood glitz anytime soon.
