Raquel Welch | 81 years old
Raquel Welch studied at San Diego State College on a scholarship to pursue her passion for theater arts. At the time, she served as a weather forecaster in a local television network, but eventually, she dropped out of college. Years later, she moved to Texas and modeled for Neiman-Marcus while working as a barmaid. Welch decided to return to California and went to several television and film auditions. Soon after, 20th Century Fox studio signed her up. With her contract on load to British studio Hammer Film Productions, Welch took on a remake project for the movie One Million B.C. in 1966. It was the beginning of her international stardom for the first few years of her career.
In 1974, the actress won the Golden Globe Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical or Comedy award for her performance in the movie The Three Musketeers. On the other hand, Welch also ventured into other investments, including the release of her book, The Raquel Welch Total Beauty and Fitness Program, in 1984. Presently, she’s the creative director for the wig company HairUWear.
