Harrison Ford |79 years old
Star Wars alum, Harrison Ford, is not going to retire just yet. Aside from reprising his role as Han Solo in the latest Star Wars trilogy, he will be returning for the last Indiana Jones film. The actor thought it fit that he would return as the adventurer since the character has grown over time. Ford further stated that what he liked about playing Indy was that he always prevailed even though he was frightened to death about snakes.
Ford didn’t start out as an actor and was a carpenter to earn investment money for his growing family. At that time, he was doing carpentry work for George Lucas as well as Francis Ford Coppola. Lucas hired Harrison to read some lines with other actors during the casting call for Star Wars and later on decided to cast Ford himself. It was in Star Wars that he gained superstar status and then helped him land numerous roles, too.
