Fantasies, Tarzan, the Ape Man, Bolero, and Ghosts Can’t Do It were all directed by her then-husband John Derek and garnered rather negative reviews. Derek was born in Long Beach, California. Paul Collins, her father, was a Hobie executive responsible for inventing the Hobie Cat vessel, and Norma Collins, her mother, was the Swedish-American actress and singer Ann-Margret’s make-up artist and hairdresser.

Sadly, her parents’ marriage did not last long, as they separated, with her mother remarrying to an American stunt performer named Bobby Bass shortly after. Now 64 years old, she lives with her longtime boyfriend and Sex and the City star John Corbett in their ranch since 2002, located in Santa Barbara, California, U.S.A.
