Right now she is focused on running one of her investments, which is called the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, where her goal was to create more roles for women. She had been hard at work gathering data on gender roles and representations in the media since 2004 which is the reason why the actress has not been filming since then.

She is also known to be picky with the roles being offered to her which she admitted in an interview in 2019. Davis found that age discrimination is real in Hollywood as she got fewer roles. Although many would say that it was not true, the actress stuck to her guns and is simply waiting for the right role to come along her way. Fortunately, she doesn’t have to worry about money matters since she knows how to invest her earnings.
