Pierce was born in Drogheda, Ireland, in 1953. He is most known for his iconic role as James Bond in the movies Tomorrow Never Dies, GoldenEye, Die Another Day, and The World is Not Enough. Since Pierce plays the popular character, he also voiced the James Bond video games James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing and James Bond 007: Nightfire. Some of the other credits he has that are not Bond-related are Mrs. Doubtfire, Death Train, The Heist, Night Watch, Remington Steele, and Don’t Talk to Strangers.
