Hugh Jackman | James Bond – Casino Royale

It is not shocking that some stars bail on performing iconic characters as there is this thing called artistic indifferences. Yes, in fact, artistic indifference can play an integral part in the success of a movie as the actor needs to connect to the script or believe in the character that they play so they can genuinely play the part. The same reason Hugh Jackman declined the James Bond role.

Hugh Jackman was among the actors who received a call for the part when the search is on for the next James Bond. During that time, he was about to film the second installment of X-Men and portray Wolverine. The actor stated that he said no to portraying James Bond as he finds the script a bit unrealistic and too much. Likewise, Jackman also wanted to explore other characters outside action films and would not like to be typecast. As such, he managed to do different kinds of films to his credit, including The Greatest Showman, Les Miserables, and The Prestige.
