If an actress turned down an acting project, have someone else do it, right? This is similar to what happened to Emma Roberts. After she passed up on the opportunity to play Brit on the hit film Spring Breakers, Ashley Benson stepped in for the role.

The film was released on March 15, 2013, starring James Franco, Selena Gomez, and Vanessa Hudgens. It accumulated a gross of more than $31 million — 6.2 times the production budget. Roberts opted not to be part of it because of a specific scene where she would have to make an intimate scene with Franco and Hudgens in the pool. This may not be as huge as the other films these stars have done, but their major takeaway is the experience of portraying roles that are out of their comfort zone. If you watched it, you’d be surprised at how much profanity Hudgens spit.
