Sigourney Weaver | 72 years old

Sigourney Weaver is considered a pioneer of action heroines in sci-fi movies with her notable role in the franchise movie Alien, where she earned an Academy Awards nomination in 1986. She is also given credit as one of the most significant female protagonists. In 1988, the Alien lead character won two Golden Globes awards—Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress in Drama—for her roles in the films Working Girl and Gorillas in the Mist. Because of that, she’s the first person to win both awards in the same year.

In the 1997 BAFTA award, Weaver then won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the movie The Ice Storm. Other popular films that the actress has starred in include Ghostbusters, Dave, Galaxy Quest, The Avatar, WALL-E, A Monster Calls, The Defenders, and many others. No wonder Weaver was voted 20th among 100 of the greatest movie stars of all time by Channel 4 back in 2003.
