Catherine O’Hara may be a familiar name to most of you since she played the mother of Macaulay Culkin in the movies Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Her career began with SCTV where she joined fellow actors John Candy, Harold Ramis, and Andrea Martin. She also wrote for the series, too. However, her film debut was in Nothing Personal. It was followed by more film projects like After Hours, Heartburn, Beetlejuice, Penelope, and Away We Go. The actress now has more than 100 film credits to her name and she is still doing well in the industry.

O’Hara hasn’t retired yet as she is a regular cast member in Schitt’s Creek. Her role here won her an Emmy and a Golden Globe which, to her credit, is due to her amazing performance in the comedy series. Her husband, Bo Welch, even played a sound of applause on his phone during her acceptance speech, and later, an orchestra as well, which showed that the two know how to have some fun in their relationship.
