Jack Nicholson | Michael Corleone – The Godfather

Michael Corleone was played by iconic actor Al Pacino. To this day, The Godfather film series remains one of the most iconic movies in history. It is the masterpiece of director Francis Ford Coppola and paved the way for Pacino’s prolific rise to success in Hollywood. His performance as Michael continues to be one of his best acting performances throughout his career.

Nowadays, The Godfather is considered a classic and a must-watch for any movie enthusiast. However, at the time of its conception, the script that Coppola had was considered too controversial and a risky venture for the studio. Initially, the studio execs wanted an established actor to play the role of Michael. They considered Jack Nicholson, Robert Redford, Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman, and Ryan O’Neal. All of them declined, and to Pacino’s credit, he proved himself worthy for being chosen to play Michael.
