Born Eldrick Tont Woods, Tiger Woods was introduced to golf by his father when he was just two years old. As a child, his extraordinary skill in the sport got featured on television. He appeared on ABC’s That’s Incredible! and on Golf Digest at age five. Some people even put him against comedian Bob Hope in the late ’70s. When he was six, Woods won the Under Age 10 category of the Drive, Pitch, and Putt competition in Cypress, California. He also won four consecutive years in the Junior World Championships.

Since then, Woods is highly regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time and has won numerous accolades, including  81 PGA Tour wins and 15 major professional tournaments.
